Between Tuesday August 17, 2010 and Tuesday August 31, 2010, CheapOair in partnership with South African Airways and Lonely Planet will hold a daily contest on Twitter.

Each day CheapOair will “tweet” a South Africa themed question and followers of the @CheapOair Twitter account will be asked to “tweet” their answer with the hash tag #COASA in the response. Entry is limited to one “tweet” per Twitter account within a 24-hour period after each day’s question has been posted on @CheapOair’s Twitter page.

Contestants will have twenty-four (24) hours from the time of the announcement each day during the contest period at approximately 12PM ET to “tweet” their answer. A daily winner will be randomly selected and rewarded with a South Africa related Lonely Planet guidebook. The winner will be announced before 12PM ET the following day via the @CheapOair Twitter page. The winner has twenty-four (24) hours to claim his/her prize. The ten (10) daily winners will also be added to a random drawing pool for a chance to win the Grand Prize of two (2) South African Airways Economy Class tickets for travel between South African Airways’ North American gateways and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg, South Africa or Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town, South Africa.

If you didn’t get picked on Twitter as one of the ten (10) daily winners for a chance to be added to the Grand Prize random drawing pool, simply go to contests.cheapoair.com, sign up for the CheapOair newsletter and you’ll be added to the pool for a chance to win the two tickets to South Africa! That’s a total of eleven (11) chances to win! Newsletter entry is limited to one (1) time per email per and ip address during the contest period.

The Grand Prize announcement of two (2) coach class South African Airways tickets will be made Tuesday August 31, 2010 on the CheapOair blog (blog.cheapoair.com)

Participation in this Contest is available to anyone who qualifies to be eligible as per the Contest Terms and Conditions described herein. By participating, all Contest participants (“Entrants” or “Participants”) agree to be bound by the Official CheapOair Contest Rules and the Terms and Conditions. Contest entry made by any mass duplication, automatic, robotic, or programmed method, or, through any sweepstakes entry, notification, or related services, or, in any manner not in compliance with the requirements of these Official Contest Rules will be deemed invalid and will be subject to immediate disqualification.

CheapOair is not responsible for; (i) any lost, late and incomplete entries; (ii) any electronic or telecommunications misconnections or failures of connectivity; (iii) technical, hardware or software failures of any kind; (iv) lost or unavailable network connections; (v) failed, incomplete, garbled and/or delayed computer transmissions and (vi) unauthorized human intervention which may limit an entrant's ability to participate in the Contest.

CheapOair reserves the right at its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest at any time without notice in the event that virus’, bugs or other causes beyond the control of CheapOair corrupt the administration, security and proper execution of the Contest.

Entrants must be legal residents of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia but excluding Puerto Rico and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions), reside and be physically present in the U.S. as of the date of Entry through and including the date of awarding of prizes, and be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of Entry.

To be eligible, electronic Entries must be received within the twenty-four (24) hour period after that day’s “tweet” has been posted on the @CheapOair Twitter page and/or by entering their email at contests.cheapoair.com for the CheapOair newsletter. You must be a follower of the @CheapOair Twitter page at the time of the drawing to be eligible. Employees of CheapOair and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, retailers, advertising and promotion, judging and other coordinating agencies involved in the promotion and the immediate families of each are not eligible to enter. Lonely Planet Guidebook: Winners will be notified on the @CheapOair twitter page. Winners must claim their prize within twenty-four (24) hours of being notified via the @CheapOair Twitter page and must confirm their eligibility within seven (7) days after being contacted by CheapOair.

Grand Prize: The Grand Prize announcement of two (2) South African Airways Economy Class tickets will be made on Tuesday August 31, 2010 via the CheapOair blog (blog.cheapoair.com).

Lonely Planet Guidebook: The winner has twenty-four (24) hours to claim his/her prize. Lonely Planet guidebooks will be sent directly from Lonely Planet’s Oakland, California office. Prize winners must provide us with a valid mailing address. The Lonely Planet guidebook is non-transferable, cannot be resold, bartered, substituted, or redeemed for cash and has no cash value.

Grand Prize: The winner must claim the Grand Prize and provide proof of eligibility within seven (7) days of the Prize Notification. By accepting the Grand Prize, the winner agrees to release CheapOair, Lonely Planet, South African Airways and its agencies, affiliates and subsidiaries from any and all liabilities for injuries and/or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the award of the Grand Prize. There shall be no prize substitutions whatsoever except as stated herein.

The Grand Prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash and cannot be combined with other prizes awarded by CheapOair. By accepting the Grand Prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, photo and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited.

To receive the Grand Prize, the winner agrees to provide CheapOair with a recent photo of him/herself and shall complete and submit an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity, which must be signed and returned to CheapOair within seven (7) days of Prize Notification. Late Grand Prize claims shall be subject to forfeiture.

(a) The Prizes: South African Airways Ticket Voucher must be redeemed within six (6) months as of the date of the Prize Notification. Failure to claim and/or redeem a prize within the time period as described herein will result in the forfeiture of the awarded Prize.

(b) South African Airways Ticket Voucher must be booked through CheapOair at least twenty-one (21) days in advance and travel must be completed by April 11, 2011. Travel during weekdays such as on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Saturday may have a higher chance of availability. All tickets are subject to space availability.

(c) The South African Airways Ticket Voucher is non-transferable, cannot be resold, bartered, substituted or redeemed for cash and has no cash value if not used, is per transaction, and cannot be combined. The South African Airways Ticket Voucher does not qualify for Business Class upgrade, is valid only for travel between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City and Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Washington D.C. to OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg, South Africa or Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town, South Africa. The South African Airways Ticket Voucher cannot be redeemed during the blackout dates of December 9, 2010 to January 12, 2011. South African Airways reserves the right to impose blackout periods on/during additional dates.

(d) The South African Airways Ticket Voucher excludes taxes, and subject to the airport fuel, security and other surcharges that may be applicable at time of ticketing. The South African Airways Ticket Voucher is only valid for 60 days from the date of travel origination. South African Airways Ticket Voucher is not eligible for mileage credit accrual in the SAA Voyager Program or any other airline frequent flyer program.

(e) Flight and date changes are permitted on the South African Airways Ticket Voucher, at no charge. Routing changes are not permitted once the South African Airways Ticket Voucher has been issued.

(f) Lonely Planet guidebooks will be sent from Lonely Planet’s Oakland, California office. Prize winner must provide us with a valid mailing address. The Lonely Planet guidebook is non-transferable, cannot be resold, bartered, substituted, or redeemed for cash and has no cash value if not used.
