For a chance to win a trip for two to Costa Rica, simply enter the CheapOair Jungle to Jungle Facebook Photo contest by December 18, 2011. And, we’ll be giving away not one, but two prizes! One for best city photo and one for most social participant! So look through your Facebook photos (or go and shoot a new one!) and submit a city photo that best represents your 'urban jungle'. It could be a graffiti wall, landmark building or neighborhood, the unique residents, a favorite local food, the morning commute, the local square decorated for the holidays.....anything that you feel depicts the vibe of the city where you live. Also, start getting social, because a second trip to Costa Rica will be awarded to the person that gets the most of their friends to enter
the contest. Jungle to Jungle Contest Rules
Between December 12 and December 18, 2011, participants simply:
1) "Like” CheapOair on Facebook and fill out the quick entry form; 2) Submit their best city photo via the CheapOair Facebook page (photos that capture the essence of their city: a graffiti wall, landmark building or neighborhood, the unique residents, a favorite local food..anything that depicts the city in which they live) 3) Invite friends to join the contest
Photo Prize: Airline tickets for two to Costa Rica and a 4-night stay with breakfast and a spa treatment at The Costa Rica Marriott.
Social Prize: 3-night hotel stay at the Residence Inn San Jose Escazu in Costa Rica along with a CheapOair gift certificate of $250.
Photo Prize: Eight finalists will be selected by the CheapOair judging committee, based on quality of the photo, inventiveness and novelty of the urban jungle setting captured. Voting will then open to the public to select the final winner. The urban jungle photo that receives the most votes will be the winner.
Social Prize: The person with the most ‘Friend Conversions’ during the photo submission period (December 12 through December 18) will automatically win the Social Prize. By ‘Friend Conversions’ we mean the number of your friends that entered Jungle to Jungle due to an action (friend invite, activity stream, etc) taken by this participant.
Photo Prize: Photo entry period is December 12 through December 18, 2011. Public voting will take place December 19th and 20th. The Photo Prize winner will be announced on the CheapOair Facebook wall on December 21, 2011.
Social Prize: The ‘Friend Conversions’ accumlation period is December 12 through December 18, 2011.The Social Prize winner will be announced on the CheapOair Facebook wall on December 21, 2011.
The contest “Jungle to Jungle,” sponsored by CheapOair, is commencing on Monday, December 12, 2011.By submitting an entry, each and every contestant agrees to these Terms and Conditions and warrant that his or her entry complies will all the requirements set forth herein.
Eligibility Entrants must be legal residents of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia but excluding Puerto Rico and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions), and be eighteen (18) years or older as of the date of entry. To be eligible, photo entries must be received between Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM (EST) and Tuesday, December 18, 2011 at 11:59 PM (EST). Entrants must have clicked on the “like” on the CheapOair Facebook page to be eligible for any prize. Only one photo entry per person per Facebook account will be accepted. Multiple photo entries from the same account or failure to fulfill or comply with any criteria setforth herein may render such entry(es) ineligible for prize consideration. Images must comply with the Facebook terms of use – http://www.facebook.com/terms.php and may not contain nudity, pornographic materials, or any other illicit content. Entrants must own the rights to any submitted photo. Copyright infringement is punishable by law and violators will be removed from any prize consideration. Photos will also become the property of CheapOair upon submission. In addition to photo submission, entrants must complete an official entry form on the CheapOair Facebook page. There is no entry fee and no additional purchase is necessary. Employees of CheapOair and its affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, retailers, advertisers, and other coordinating agencies participating in the execution of this contest and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this contest. This contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. By entering this contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of CheapOair, which shall be final. Judging At the end of the submission period, eight finalists will be hand-picked by the CheapOair jury. This jury will be made up of the travel and social media fanatics that head the CheapOair.com marketing department. They have received no special training in photography and remain impartial to all entrants. Finalists should meet at least one of the following criteria: quality, inventiveness, or novelty. At the end of the jury selection period, one (1) grand prize winner will be determined by a public vote. Public voting will take place on the CheapOair Facebook page beginning December 19, 2011 at 12:01 PM (EDT) and continue through December 21, 2011 at 11:59 AM (EDT). Voters may cast one vote per day per Facebook account during the specified voting period. Votes made by any mass duplication, automatic, robotic, or programmed method, or in any manner not in compliance with the requirements of these official contest rules will be deemed invalid and will be subject to immediate disqualification. The grand prize winner will be announced on the CheapOair Facebook page at 2:00 PM (EDT) on December 21, 2011. Winners must e-mail CheapOairsm@CheapOair.com to claim prize. Prizes: Winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 21st between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. EST. Please note one person cannot win both prizes. Photo Prize: The Grand Prize winner will receive airline tickets for two and a 4-night stay with breakfast and a spa treatment at The Costa Rica Marriott. The Grand Prize will be awarded to the person whose photo has the most votes. The Social Award: The Social Award winner will receive a 3-night hotel stay at the Residence Inn San Jose Escazu in Costa Rica along with a Cheapoair gift certificate of $250, subject to CheapOair terms and conditions. The Social Award will be awarded to the person with the most ‘Friend Conversions’ during the submission period. By ‘Friend Conversions’ we mean the number of your friends that entered Jungle to Jungle due to an action (friend invite, activity stream, etc) taken by this participant. Prize Claim As a condition precedent to any performance by CheapOair based on these terms or regarding any prize, the winner must claim the Grand Prize, provide proof of eligibility within seven (7) days of the Prize Notification, and also provide CheapOair with a valid US mailing address within the same seven (7) day period. By accepting the prize, each winner agrees to release CheapOair, and all of its subsidiaries, affiliates, and agencies from any and all liability arising out of injuries and/or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the award of the prize or the prize itself. By “affiliate” we refer to an entity that controls or is controlled by CheapOair, with control meaning the ownership of 50% or more of the voting stock of an entity or ability to otherwise direct the policies of an entity. All local, state and federal taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. The prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, photo and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Prize winners may be asked to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity which must be signed and returned to CheapOair within ten (10) days of the notification to receive prize, as a condition precedent to our obligation of awarding any prize. In order to redeem your gift certificate, you must book an itinerary with CheapOair. Unclaimed prizes in due time or within 3 months from the date this contest ends will not be awarded. Instructions on how to redeem the prizes will be sent to the winners and our obligation to award any prize is based on the winner’s compliance with our instructions. Air All our obligations with regards to any and all prizes offered during this contest, are subject to the following conditions, and any non-compliance with the following will excuse any and all our obligations towards any and all prize winners: 1) All prizes awarded in accordance with these terms and conditions in the form of travel arrangements (tickets, hotel stays, car rentals) must be used by December 16, 2012. 2) Travel must be booked at least 30 days prior to departure date; airline partner will be determined at time of fulfillment; winners are required to submit three travel date options. 3) Winners must travel from a major US gateway on selected airlines’ route network. It will be the responsibility of the winners/passengers to get to a major gateway. 4) Tickets will be issued in economy class and once issued are not changeable. 5) Blackout dates include all major holidays and are subject to the air carrier selected. Tickets will not be issued on blackout dates in accordance with air carrier policies. 6) Tickets are subject to availability and existing flight schedules. 7) Seat assignments, baggage fees, and other ancillary fees as applicable are not included. 8) Prize tickets will be subject to all CheapOair Terms and Conditions. 9) Tickets are not refundable or transferable, cannot be extended, bartered or redeemed for cash value. Hotel Offer is valid through December 16, 2012 and is subject to room availability. Blackout dates are as follows: December 21-31, 2011; January 5-10, 2012; February 6-24, 2012; March 1-5, 2012; March 30-April 8, 2012; April 19-21, 2012. Reservations are for double occupancy only. Reservations are non- transferable, non-negotiable, cannot be redeemed for cash value, and are subject to all terms and conditions of The Costa Rica Marriott and the Residence Inn San Jose Escazu in Costa Rica. Rooms will only be made available to the person whose name appears on the official award letter. Name changes are not permitted after the issuance of prizes whatsoever. No exemptions. Limitation on Liability: This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Any private information disclosed by any of the participants in accordance to this contest’s terms and conditions will be disclosed to CheapOair only, and not to Facebook.
